Is it normal for newborns to have eye discharge?

I noticed that my new born baby got many eye discharge in the corner of the eyes. Why? Is this normal?

    It is normal for most of newborn have eye discharge. It because their tear ducts can become blocked. And if your baby got eye discharge, just remember that don't touch her eyes with your fingers. Now, you shall use a warm cloth to wash it away. Besides, you shall massage the tearducts gently twice or 3 times everyday to help them. If it appear painful, you'd better visit an doctor.
