Can optic neuritis cause double vision?

I have optic neuritis. Also, i got double vision. Why? Can optic neuritis cause the double vision?

    Optic neuritis has a very popular fame of destroy eye system, especially eye vision. Optic neuritis is the inflammation of the optic nerve that may cause a complete or partial loss of vision. Inflammation of the optic nerve causes loss of vision usually because of the swelling and destruction of the myelin sheath covering the optic nerve. Symptoms are loss of vision one eye over an hour or a few hours, changes in the way the pupil reacts to bright light, loss of color vision and pain when you move the eye. Well, double vision is so possible to be caused by optic neuritis.

    Well, optic neuritis cannot lead to double vision. So you do not need to worry about it. But on the other hand, there are also some other symptoms which accompany with it. For example, it can just cause glaucoma in your eyes, which can be serious. Also, diabetes can be possible too. For the causes, the lifestyle can be an important factor, and also smoking, trauma, even infection can cause optic neuritis too. Anyway, just be careful about it, or it can just lead to vision loss.
