Acupuncture, as the traditional Chinese medical treatment of human diseases, does prove somewhat useful in ophthalmology, that is to say, blindness, to some extent, can be cured or at least relieved, by the employment of acupuncture. If the eyeballs of the blind are intact, neurogenic blindness can be relieved by the use of acupuncture. When it comes to retinitis pigmentosa, or blindness from optic nerve pathology, acupuncture can prove helpful in its treatment where other medical treatment fail. Instead of inserting the acupuncture needles into the eyeballs, they are applied in the acupuncture points on the arms or legs by those acupuncture masters, since the working philosophy of acupuncture is that the human body is closely interconnected by twelve definite and fixed channels which all have close relationship with the organs of the body. Medical tests have already affirmed the role of acupuncture in vision health. Maybe someday, the wish that blindness can be cured by acupuncture can be realized.

If the eyeball remains intact, Acupuncture may relieve neurogenic blindness. Designation and prompt applicable treatment is very necessary with eye issues, however, the acupuncture shouldn't be initial selection as the treatment for many intra-eyeball issues. There's been some evidence that acupuncture will improve eye physiology and also useful in treating eye disease and cataracts. Acupuncture is often applied in conjunction with chemical treatment of eye disease and to decrease the event of early cataracts.

Blindness is the condition of lacking visual perception due to physiological or neurological factors. Cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are common causes of blindness. These are all possible due to something wrong with blood vessels. As we all known, acupuncture i is the most useful and popular treatment options in ancient China. The doctor of traditional Chinese medicine will will use manipulating thin, solid needles that have been inserted into acupuncture points in the skin to help with qi in body. Well, it may sounds hurt and incredible, but it exists indeed and it works indeed. Patients in ancient China all receive such ways to cure diseases. So it is true that acupuncture can help with blindness, but it is very slow and you need enough patience to wait for recovering. Warm tips: the real doctor of traditional Chinese medicine is not easy to find.
