The visible white part of the eye should have no yellow color. Yellow eyes generally is caused by jaundice disease, and the most common causes of yellow eyes are cholestasis hepatitis or jaundice hepatitis. Hepatitis can make eyes turn yellow. But hepatitis is not the only reason that can make eyes turn yellow. When a person gets bruised, it is bilirubin that makes that yellowish bruise mark on the skin. I hope this information is of some help.
