The answer is yes. The dehydration can actually give rise to high eye pressure in reality. It's known that almost of our body's weight is made up of water. Moreover, water is cycling with oxygen that can maintain normal metabolic functions of our organs, including eyes. While the amount of water leaving our body is faster than the amount is entering, the dehydration happens, which would make the vessel blood pass our eyes without much fresh oxygen, futhermore, it will break out the normal cycle of the eye's fluid, and the pressure on your eyeballs will grow high. Hence, if you suffered from the high eye pressure due to dehydration, water replenishment is needed at first. Besides, putting a warm compress on the eyes can also relieve the symptom. But for the sake of your health, you'd better have a medical check-up and take some medicine as well.

Our eyes tears to provide constant moisture and lubrication to maintain vision and comfort. Dehydration is easy to lead to dry eye and strain eye. At this time, eyes cannot produce adequate and quality tears, then pain, redness, burning occur gradually. All these factor may increase pressure in eyes. Doing exercise and have a good rest can help with reducing high pressure in eye.
