Yes, acid reflux can cause your itchy eyes because of the infection from the ingestion system. Your eyes may get dry because of the dehydration in the whole body when you have the acid reflux which is mainly lower esophageal sphincter function loss. Your stomach will get affected. The nerves in your throat will affect your eyes. In order to relieve your itchy eyes, you need to do something to treat your acid reflux firstly. You should not eat the spicy or raw or hard food any more. You should not smoke or drink. You should keep the healthy diet. Then you need to have the good rest for the eyes. You should use the eye drops with anti-inflammation to get rid of the invisible bacterium in the eyes. You should make the eyes be clear. You should also use the warm compress as the good home remedy to release the symptom of your itchy eyes. It is so helpful which you need to have a try. It is workable and effective. Yes, acid reflux may cause itchy and red eyes. But acid reflux is not the only factor to cause itchy eyes. Dry eyes, eye infection foreign in your eyes can also cause itchy eyes. So, I suggest you use some eye drops to moist your eyes. And don' t rub your eyes even if you feel itchy because it may cause scratched cornea. If you still feel itchy eyes after using eyedrops, you'd better see a doctor.
