Is pink eye contagious while on antibiotics?

I know that pink eye are contagious. But if i apply antibiotics, will my eyes contagious? Or shall i stay at home till my pink eyes completely cured?

    If you got the contagious pink eye, your eyes will be contagious even though you applied antibiotics. Antibiotics can only treat the pink eye caused by bacteria. I think you should ask your doctor for correct medicine treatment and then stay at home until your pink eye is completely recovered.

    Pink eye caused by a virus cannot be cured by antibiotics. Usually this kind of pink eye will run its course in one to three weeks. Viral conjunctivitis is highly contagious. You can apply artificial tears to help relieve your symptoms of viral pink eye. But you need to see your doctor too. Sometimes we need to treat this kind of pink eye with prescription antiviral eye drops, ointment, or pills.
