Just out of sheer curiosity, Can you use reading glasses in place of prescription eye glasses?

Ok in my left eye i am a -3.50 and in the right I am a -3.25. I was just curious about purchasing reading glasses in place of the traditional rx glasses. Has anyone every done this. Thanks.

RX eye glasses have minus power lenses for distance vision, while reading glasses have plus power lenses for up close. So you can't replace the RX eye glasses with reading glasses because they have different purpose. According to your prescription, you should wear RX eye glasses.
