Can u be allergic to eyeglass lenses?

I just got some new eyeglass lenses..b.ut i kept my old frames...but then i started sneezing uncontrollably and my eyes have itched alot and wondered if my new lenses were the cause...cause they sure seem to be

    No. The lens material is so solid that you can't breathe in any particles from it. Even if you are allergic to the eyeglass lenses, your eyes should be hurt and red. If it was the frames that cause the allergy, your skin where the frames touched would have rashes. So maybe it's some other factor that cause your allergy here. You should go to see your doctor and check it out.

    From your description, you still wear your old frames sometimes. Anyway, i never heard that that wearing eyeglasses can cause sneezing. It seems you got a cold. Besides, you need also to find what cause your eyes itchy. Is it caused by dry eyes. If so, i guess you got a cold. If not, you may wear wrong eyeglasses. Anyway, for the sake of your eye health, you'd better get an eye check first.
