It is the lenses that make a difference between polarized goggles and non-polarized goggles . Polarized lenses are designed to reduce the glare from surfaces like water, snow, and glass and increasing depth perception. When light falls on a flat and smooth medium, the reflected light is directed in the horizontal planes (polarized), rather than dispersing or scattering in all directions. They have been popular for years with boaters, fisherman and help the participant in these activities to see more clearly, allowing for the avoidance of potential hazards. So the polarize lenses are more expensive than the regular one .

Well, generally speaking, lenses, especially sunglasses lenses are classified wit polarized and non-polarized lenses. And you should know that polarized goggles are glasses which are uv protected. And by wearing them, you can protect your eyes from uv rays and strong sunlight. As we know that uv rays can be harmful to your eyes, leading to some eye cancers. also, polarized goggles can protect your eyes from glares, but non- goggles do not have this function. so if you wear non-polarized goggles, it will just increase the risk of hurting your eyes. So anyway, polarized goggles can be better than non-polarized goggles.
