    People over the age of 40 are more likely to have presbyopia, so no matter you are shortsighted or not, you have the same rate to suffer presbyopia.

    Yes, my grandmom got presbyopia last year, however she is not shortsighted, then the doctor told me that presbyopia is a kind of eye disease that most oldmen may have, it has nothing to do with shortsight.
