How long will semi-rimless eyeglasses last?

As there is only a thin nylon wire to hold the semi-rimless eyeglasses.I am sure the wire can break sometimes. Once it breaks, there is no way to put the glasses back in the socket again.so i wonder how long those semi-rimless eyeglasses will last?

Actually the nylon wire is sturdy enough to hold the lenses.They can even last longer than other ones.

They can last as long as any other kind if you don't tear at it or put too much heavy weights on them.Remember that the lenses aren't glued.
