Will the cost of eye exam be lower for non prescription contacts?

I have no vision problems but want to get some colored contacts.I know it is safe to have an eye exam before wearing contacts. But would it be cheaper as I have no vision problem?

No, the price would be the same as the test for prescription contacts for they test for the same things all the time. In fact, you can get non-prescription contacts from online stores without any eye exams, and they are also safe to wear. Search online, you may find many choices.

Now that you have no vision problems, why not just buy non prescription contact lenses directly from optical shop ? I think you needn't take eye exam. Of course, to be safe, having an detail eye exam before buy contacts is necessary. But i don't think the cost of eye exam will be lower even if you have perfect vision.
