What are the benifits of anti-reflective coating on glasses?

I was suggested to get anti-reflective coating when I was choosing glasses,but I don't know what is the advantage for it,is it necessary to get anti-reflective coating?

Anti-reflective coating can eliminate reflections of light from the front and back surface of eyeglass lenses thus to improve your vision through your lenses and can also improve the appearance of your eyeglasses. Anti-reflective coating are often used on high-index lenses in order to reflect more light than the regular lenses. If your power is strong, it is recommended to choose higher index lenses with anti-reflective coatings, to ensure you the appearance, comfort, lightness and better vision.

Anti-reflective coating can reduce reflections of bright lights from the front and back surface of eyeglass lenses, which will make people focus on your eyes not your lenses because it makes your lenses invisible. Anti-reflective coating can also reduce glare, so lenses with AR coating are helpful for night driving.

Just as the name suggest,the anti-reflective coating can reduce the lights that come into your eyes to avoid the damage caused by harmful lights. Obviously it is better to get anti-reflective coating.
