What are basketball goggles?

I have seen some people wear it during the competition. It looks really funny. What are they used for?

    They are used to protect your eyes when playing basketball, just as it's name implies. ACtually, goggles are also fashionable sometimes, just like the goggles that Hamilton wears, so coooooooool.
