Can both acute and chronic glaucoma cause bad vision?

I wonder if both acute and chronic glaucoma can cause bad vision? If so, how long does it take before you notice the bad vision?

Yes. Both acute and chronic glaucoma will cause bad vision. However, the speed that the vision degrades is related to the eye pressure. Acute glaucoma may cause bad vision within a day, while chronic glaucoma may lead to bad vision several years later.

Yes, both of them can cause bad vision and narrow visual field. For acute glaucoma, you may lose your vision in only one day. But the process of vision degeneration for chronic glaucoma is quite slow. Usually it will take years before you can realize your vision is losing.
