Can I catch pink eyes by looking at them?

My friend has red eyes and I look at her eyes by chance. Is there any possibility that I get red eyes by looking at them?

    It depends on what cause the red eyes. Even if it is infectious, you can't catch an eye infection by looking at someone. However, if you stay together with someone who has an eye infection, you are easy to get red eye by touch.

    It is not likely that you can get red eyes by staring at them. Pink eyes usually spread by hands, and sharing towels.
