How effective is laser treatment for bleeding in the eye?

My father has diabetes for more than 5 years and was found bleeding in the eye recently. Now he decide to get laser treatment. Is it effective? Any risk?

Laser surgery is the most effective way so far to treat bleeding in the eye when it is caused by hypertension related to diabetic if the bleeding is small and there is no severe vetreous body opacity. But it also has side effects. You may also have bleeding in the eye after surgery and after several times of surgery, some patients will have really bad vision and even get blind.

Laser surgery is the most effective and fast way to treat bleeding in the eye caused by diabetes. There is not much risk as the technology is much more mature. My mother had just gone through this surgery and now she is recovering very well.

We must admit that laser treatment is the most effective and fast way to treat bleeding in the eye. However, there are side effects. Some people who had laser treatment for the bleeding may get impaired vision. And several people may get blind after they take the laser treatment.
