"Trachoma is a contagious bacterial infection. They can affects the conjunctival covering of the eye, the cornea, and the eyelids. It is associated with lack of proper hygiene. And a simple way to treatment is the onetime use of azithromycin (Zithromax) pills (currently the treatment of choice) or the topical use of 1% tetracycline (Achromycin) ointment. Again, you can also adopt Antibiotic therapy. What's more, facial cleanliness can also reduces both the risk and the severity of active trachoma."

You should keep your face, hands, clothing and other things around you clean to prevent Trachoma. If you have already got Trachoma, you should go to see your doctor as soon as possible. The doctor will take measures to treat the Trachoma. In most cases, the doctor will apply antibiotics to deal with Trachoma. If it is serious enough, you may have surgery to treat it. You are not required to wear contact lenses if you have Trachoma. Otherwise, you may get irritation in your eyes.
