  Yes. goggles are necessary when tanning. When you go indoor tanning, you'd better use tanning goggles which are specially designed for tanning in bed. Wearing tanning goggles can protect your eyes from UV rays when you are tanning in bed. If you don't wear goggles with your eyes exposed to the UV rays, you will develop some eye diseases. You may have higher risks of color blindness and night blindness if your eyes are exposed to the UV rays in tanning beds. If it is serious, it can cause blindness, too. So goggles are necessary when tanning.

  Yes, it is necessary if you want to keep health of your eyes. As we know, there are many health risks when tanning, so do the eyes. If you long time exposure to UV rays in tanning beds, it will increase your risk of both color blindness and night blindness. So, it is necessary to use eye protection when you tanning. While there are tanning goggles that are special designed to protect the eyes from UV rays while give you comfortable wearing.
