That depends on the type of the eye exam you tend to have. Usually medicare insurance won't cover a routine eye exam, but an eye exam that is medical necessary. When you find that there is something wrong with your vision, which may indicate a serious eye condition and you need to have an eye exam immediately to see what is wrong with your eyes, medicare will pay for your eye exam.

Usually, Medicare will not pay for routine eye care. But if you have a chronic eye condition like cataracts or glaucoma, Medicare will cover some eye care services. If you are going to get eye exam for the purpose of diagnosing potential vision problems, it is likely covered by Medicare insurance even if it turns out your eyes is OK.
