Yes, it is harmful for your eyes if you don't wear any eye protection while in tanning bed. The human eyelid is too thin to protect the eyes from ultraviolet radiation, so merely closing your eyes is simply not enough protection. The Ultraviolet rays from tanning bed can cause vision problems such as blurred vision or temporary loss of sight but you may not notice any discomfort at that time. So remember to wear your tanning goggles next time.

I don't know if tanning beds bad for eyes. But i know that tanning beds are nor safe and is likely cause skin cancer. Though tanning beds often exceed “safe” UV limits, there are UV rays in the beds that risks for your bodies. The UV rays comes from the sun and from tanning beds will damages our skin and adversely affects our immune system. So, it is not safe for tanning beds.

Maybe the boss of the tanning beds shop will indicate that the tanning beds will not be harmful for your eyes because you wear the special goggle. But I suggest you not to choose tanning bed to receive beautiful skin. The World Health Organization has classified tanning bed as being as carcinogenic as cigarettes, arsenic and asbestos. For your health, try to another way to get your beautiful skin.
