First of all, you shall keep your hands clean with soap and water. then place your baby in her back on the floor or bed. Then, lean over her head between your knees. Use your fingers to raise her eyelids and pull down the lower eyelids. Now, you can use eye drops to the baby's eyes. Then, keep baby's head in the right position and steady for a while till the medication be absorbed. And it is OK, if your baby blink eyes after the eye drops.

You can make your baby's head a little upward, tease baby with a toy in the direction of his or her head, in order to let him or her look up. Pull open the lower eyelid, drip the eye drops in the lower eyelid, then let your baby close eyes for 1 to 2 minutes, after he or she open eyes, you can use handkerchief to wipe the drops around his or her eyes. For the uncooperative baby, you should have an assistant to help you. You can sit with the assistant face to face, make your baby lie on your knees, his or her legs are clipped on the assistant's two armpits, make baby's head fix on your knee, assistant hold on the baby's arms and body, when baby's body are fixed, you can drip eye drops for the baby. You can also let your baby lie in bed, and ask assistant fix his or her arms, and legs, then you fix the head and drip eye drops.

Step1. Firm the baby in the blanket with your hands. Wrap the baby gently and talk to him softly. Step2. Wipe the eye from the inner to the outer lid using a cotton ball which is moistened with warm water. Step3. Sit down on a chair and make the infant parallel with your legs. If the baby is still very active, place one of the baby's arms under each leg. Press the baby's hands away from her face with your pressure from your hands. Step4. Pull the lower eyelid down and drop the eyedropper into the eye, not placing the drops in the inside of the lower eyelid. Step5. Apply the eyedropper to the inner corner of the eye if the baby is not opening his eyes. Make sure the eyedropper does not roll down the cheek or face; wipe it away if necessary.

Hence, here are some tips for solving this problem. Firstly, making the baby lie down with eyes facing upwards, and close its eyes. Give baby drop eyedrop is the most commonly used method in treating pediatric eye disease. But it doesn't mean it is easy even if the baby is in sleep. If dropping in a wrong way, you can wake up the baby and cause him crying so as to affecting the treatment. The correct method is time after baby was sleeping. I have some suggestions for you: Firstly, you can use the left hand, thumb and index finger gently opens the down eyelid, exposing the down palpebral conjunctiva, using eye drops 1 ~ 2 drops below the vault department within the conjunctival sac, then gently loosen, making their eyes recover closing state. Generally speaking, such way will not wake the baby. You should never drop it on cornea, because its neural wide distribution is very sensitive to extra stimulation. In addition, when you are dropping ,the dropper should not too much closer to the eyelids (general from demodectic blepharitis 1 ~ 2 cm can be), and the dropper should not contact to eyelash or eyelids, too.In this way, it will avoid the eye drops pollution to hurt baby's eyes.
