To treat pink eye, you can get over the counter eye drops or ointment for pink eye. These OTC medications may not be as impressive, but they provide some relief. But it is better to see a doctor to get prescription eye drops and he will give you more professional care for your eyes. There are also some home remedy for pink eye. placing the warm compresses dipped with chamomile oil over your eyes for several times a day can help relive it.

If you have pink eyes, you should have an active treatment. You can use some medicines to wash your eyes. When you have a lot of secretions, you can use saline or 2% boric acid water to wash your conjunctival sac, 2 or 3 times a day, and use a sterile cotton swab to wide the lid margin. You can also use eye drops or eye ointment. If it is bacterial infections, you can use 10%-20% sulfa sulfacetamide sodium, 0.3% norfloxacin, 0.25%chloramphenicol eye drops, etc. Before you go to bed, you can use antibiotic ointment, such as ciprofloxacin, chlortetracycline or tetracycline eye ointment, but you should clean the secretion first. If it is co-infection, besides the above medicines, you should also need to use anti-viral eye drops, such as adenovirus can use 0.1% hydrobenzole eye drops, 0.1% peptide butylamine emulsion, small virus can use 0.1% idoxuridine, 0.1% acycloguanosine drop.
