What are best eyeglass frames for progressive lenses?

  Actually, the height of the frame should be no less than 28mm, because the progressive lenses is much bigger than normal prescription lenses in order to give you a wider vision. So, if you want to buy a pair of progressive eyewear, please pay attention to the height of the frame.

  As far as i could know, progressive lenses are required at less 28mm lenses height. So, unlike regular eyeglasses, You'd better choose eyeglasses with big frames so as to fix the big lenses of progressive lenses. To give your a more comfortable vision area, you shall avoid small eyeglasses frames and try to find big eyeglasses frames.

  My grandpa have bough a pair of eyeglasses with progressive lenses. He said the eyeglasses are really convenient for him. I saw that his progressive eyeglasses are bigger than my nearsighted eyeglasses. He told me that the progressive lenses require a big eyeglasses that over 28mm lens height. And the higher the lens height, the more comfortable he feel. So, i think you shall try to pick up big eyeglasses frame that at least over 28mm lens height.

  When you choose the frame for progressive lenses, you should take the size, visual needs and functionality, material and styles into account. You are recommended to choose smaller frames instead of larger frames.   The progressive lens is also called no-line bifocal lens. Progressive lens, not like formal bifocals or trifocals, do not have a visible lines. People who suffer both myopia and hyperopia can easily see at any distance by wearing the progressive glasses. Usually, bifocals and trifocals need large frames considering their structure, but progressive lens can allow people to wear smaller frame. You would better go to doctor and do a optometry. The doctor will advise you suitable size glasses.

  Larger frames are better choice. They don't have to be huge. Styles are trending larger. If you have a strong prescription, a larger frame will make your lenses thicker.

  I currently have glasses prescribed professionally that are progressive lenses for quite strong short sightedness and myopia. As my prescription is strong, the lenses get very thick and heavy and uncomfortable if they are large, due to the weight of the lenses and pressure on the bridge. My lenses are 50w x 29h in millimetres (about 2inch x 1.15 inch for my non-metric friends).
