Generally speaking, in my opinion, scuba diving can not lead to retinal detachment. So there is nothing you need to worry about. Well, acully there are many factors which can lead to retinal detachment, such as eye injury, severe high blood pressure. But on the other hand, most people with detached retina risk factors will not develop a detached retina. And it is possible that people without risk factors will develop a retinal detachment. Of course, if you go and have the diving, I will suggest you should be careful about your eyes, so that you can not get hurt or have infection by it. Also, If you have some questions about retinal detachments, you can talk with your doctor. He or she can recommend detached retina symptoms to watch for and a schedule for regular eye exams.

It is known that the person with high prescription may easily get the retinal detachment. If they get the strong knock on the head or other parts around the eyes, it is easy to get the retinal detachment, even in the bathing. However, at usual situation, scuba diving will not lead to retinal detachment.

Yes, scuba diving can cause retinal detachment. Because high myopia is a kind of degenerative disease and it can easily cause complication disease to damage your eyesight. People with high myopia have longer eyeballs and weaker retinal. What's more, their vitreous bodies are easily denatured. So when there is external force or the denatured vitreous towards their eyes, it will cause retinal detachment. When you are diving, hydraulic pressure can easily cause retinal detachment especially when have high myopia. I advise you not to dive in order to protest your eyes.
