Yes, malnutrition can cause dark circles under eyes because endocrine dyscrasia caused by malnutrition is a factor of the formation of dark circle. Without enough nutrition in the liver and kidney, the blood is not sufficient, then the metabolization of ocular blood slows down and the sedimentation of blood gives rise to the dark circle. You should balance your diets in case of malnutrition and eat more fruits with plentiful vitamin C. Also, you need to do appropriate amount of aerobic exercises to improve cardiopulmonary function, promoting the blood circulation, which has an effect of reducing the formation of dark circle. In addition, you can apply cold and hot compress onto your eyes together with eye massage to help you get rid of dark circles.
