No, it is not. Eye twitching or blepharospasm, is a common eye condition, which means the spasm of the upper eyelid is repetitive and uncontrollable blinking. And it is harmless thus it would come and go naturally within a few days. It is caused mainly by fatigue, stress, and intake too much caffeine or alcohol as well. However, it also could be a sign of pink eye or dry eye if it blinks for a long period. In most cases, eye twitching do not need special treatment, but you had better take a good rest and relax. At the same time, you should eliminate intake of caffeine or alcohol during this period.

In my opinion, eye twitching is not a very serious problem, but you still need to pay a lot of attentions to that. Eye twitching is a repetitive and uncontrollable blinking or spasm of the eyelid, and usually the upper lid. I will affect the eye muscles of both eyes. And if the condition worsens, it will cause sensitivity to light, blurry vision, and facial spasms. So, go to see the eye doctor and have a good treatment.
