Well, in the first place, you should know that a lack of water will of course give rise to dry eyes which could have some negative impacts on your eyes, whether you believe it or not. However, what you eat will also contain some water which could be supplementary to the water supply your eyes need. And if you have sufficient water on a regular basis, you eyes would definitely benefit from this.

Yes, it is possible for you to get dry eyes because of not enough water intake. However, even if you drink a lot of water, you may not release the dry eyes which are mainly caused by the excretion of the tear glands. You could also eat more food with vitamin C and A to moisture the eyes.

Yes, not drinking enough water can lead to dry eyes, in some degree. So you can just drink more water to relieve your symptom. But you also should know that dry eyes are a kind of disease which is related to the tear system. For dry eye, it can develop when the quantity or quality of this tear system is damaged. In other words, if there is insufficient tear production or excessive evaporation of the tear system, it can both lead to not enough moisture on the eye. In the end, it can result in dry eyes. When you have dry eyes, you may suffer itchy, gritty, burning eyes too. Anyway, it can be annoying and dangerous. For this situation, artificial tears, moistening gels, eye drops and mists are available to help dry eyes. So you can have a try.
