Of course yes, it is good for that. Macular degeneration causes slow, progressive changes in your central vision. That is to say, it is really hard for you to read a book, drive a car and recognize faces. Research has found that people who intake higher amounts of three antioxidants in diet that are beta-carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E have a lower risk of developing the eye disease, including macular degeneration. It is widely known that carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is essential for retina.

Well, yes, carrots can be good to prevent macular degeneration. So you can just eat more carrots which contain beta-carotene. According to some researches, it has been showed that the a carrot a day, or any other fruit or vegetable rich in beta-carotene, reduced the risk of suffering from macular degeneration by 40% when compared with individuals who ate these foods less frequently. Generally speaking, people who consume large amounts of fruits and vegetables rich in beta-carotene have a lesser risk of suffering from macular degeneration with age. Also, some studies have showed that foods rich in vitamin C and d can prevent macular degeneration. Anyway, sweet potatoes, carrots, cabbage and pumpkins can be good to prevent macular degeneration.

Yes, the carrots are good to your macular degeneration because of the containing large amount of vitamin A which could help the vision to some degree. The pathological mechanism of macular degeneration is mainly in the macular area structure because of the aging change for the performance of the retinal pigment epithelium cells. The eye cells outside plate membrane ingest function decline. It is not digested plate membrane residual corpuscle retention in the basal part cell original propeller and the cells of the effluent that form a glass membrane wart. So after secondary pathological changes, it results in macular degeneration. In addition, the macular degeneration will affect your eye vision badly. Although there is no perfect way to cure the macular degeneration, we could do something to prevent it or release it. You'd better eat more carrots to make your vision improve a lot.
