Since your baby gets the sticky eyes, you should check whether he gets the cold. You'd better take him to the hospital to have a check on the eyes and the whole body as soon as possible. You should let your baby to accept the medical treatment. You should keep notice of the recent diet for your baby.

As a matter of fact, sticky eyes often happen in a newborn baby at his first month with the symptom of a clear, white to yellow discharge at the inner corner of the baby's eyes, which is an infection of the eye lining. It's quite normal for babies, and there are a few measures to help you get rid of your baby's sticky eyes. At first, use clean towel to wipe it away softly. Besides, in your baby's daily life, drink more water, supply some natural food with vitamin, will be help a lot. And the most effective and safe way is gently cleaning your kid's eyes with cool water as well as swabing the eye from inner corner to outer, but before all of these, you are supposed to make sure your hands are totally clean. However, do not use eye-drops without doctor's permission, which may result in damages.

Well, when a baby gets sticky eyes, I have to say that it can be very annoying and terrible. Generally speaking, for sticky eyes, it can just make the eyes feel uncomfortable, in some degree, the eyes will be itchy too. So you should try some ways to treat it. For example, you can just try some warm cloth on your baby's eyes. In this way, it can relieve the situation. But you should know that, maybe your baby will not feel well about it. And because of the heat, he may be more painful. So you need to go and see the doctor, and he can tell you what to do.

Most sticky eye can be treated at home. Use a cotton ball dampened in saline solution to wipe your child's eye gently from the inner corner to the outer corner. Use a new dampened cotton ball for each wipe. Once you have bathed the eye open, use a dry cotton ball to dry it, from the inner corner to the outer corner, the same way you bathed it. You may need to do this each time you feed your baby if their sticky eye is severe. Sticky eye caused by bacteria will probably need to be treated with antibiotic eye drops. Your doctor will also be able to show you how to massage the tear duct to help the tears drain away rather than accumulate. If your baby's sticky eye gets worse or doesn't get better with at-home treatment, call your doctor, as this could be a sign that their sticky eye is the result of a bacterial infection and may need antibiotic treatment.
