Vitrectomy is a surgery for removing grouped floaters. But you might see a few floaters after post-op. well, do not be nervous. They might be certain cells or just inflammation and will settle in several months. If you were still worry about it, consult your doctor. He would give you a check and tell you accurately what they are. During these days, you must have your eyes relax and eat more vegetables and fruits.

Yes, it is possible for you to get eye floaters after vitrectomy because there are many side effects after the vitrectomy. It is just the temporary state. If you protect the eyes carefully by having the good diet and good rest, you will find that the eye floaters will disappear themselves as time goes by. During that time, you must not smoke or drink. You should have good rest for the eyes which is the most important one.

Well, generally speaking, you should know that it is very normal to have this symptom after the eye surgery. And they will disappear in some days, so you should not worry about it too much. Floaters are actually tiny clumps of gel or cells inside the vitreous, the clear jelly-like fluid that fills the inside of your eye. It is more common for people who have undergone eye operations. In other words, we can say that floaters occur after you have the surgery, because your eyes have become more sensitive. In that way, it can react to some environment factors. Anyway, they are harmless, and in most cases require no treatment. By the way, you should also avoid your eyes infected by some virus, or it can just make your eye floaters serious.
