There is some underlying connection between computer using and glaucoma. According to some reliable reports and researches, the risk of developing glaucoma is two times higher for people using computer for more than 9 hours per day than other people, and especially people with myopia are at a higher risk. Some experts said that optic nerves of people with myopia are easier to be damaged. To prevent glaucoma, you should adjust the contrast grade and brightness grade of your computer screen which can make it more comfortable for your eyes. Clean the dust on the screen which is recommended by oculist as prevention of glaucoma for long time computer users. Because prolonged working time with computer can make eyes strain and dry, so many people prefers to buy some eye drops over-the-counter to relieve the syndrome. Yet long time use of steroids eye drops might cause glaucoma too. To prevent glaucoma, you should control your usage of computer and take frequent rest to relax your eyes and muscles. Don't rely on eye drops. Eye massage is good for eye health, but you need to clean your hands thoroughly before it. Normally at the very beginning, glaucoma will not cause any uncomfortable feelings, so for people using too much computer, take frequent eye examination to monitor intraocular pressure is required.

Working in front of computer or using computer for a long time can cause eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision and other visual symptoms. Using computer for a long time cannot directly cause glaucoma, but it can cause nearsightedness, which may develop to glaucoma. Have a break for your eyes after working in front of computer for one or two hours, which can help you prevent from those visual problems.

Yes, it is possible for you to get glaucoma because of too much computer using because of the strong pressure on eyes. When you sit in front of the computers for a long time, you may find that your eyes will easily get tiredness. Then your eyes pressure will get high. You should control the time of using eyes in front of the computers. You should also prepare the safety goggles which are very necessary now.
