Does fish oil help with dry eye?

You may feel eye dryness for stinging or burning of the eye. Eye pain and red eye also lead to dry eyes because of pain and redness of the eye. Poor quality of contact lenses or uncomfortable contact lenses can cause eye dryness. There still exists many other factors that cause dry eyes, such as episodes of blurred vision and long time of reading, working on the computer, or any activity that requires sustained visual attention. Eye dryness must be treated as soon as possible for it is the basic eye problems for other eye diseases. Treating eye dry has two ways: medicine treatment and home care. Cyclosporine, an anti-inflammatory medication, is the only prescription drug available to treat dry eye. Home care includes basic drops, a good rest and fish oil. Fish oil is soft and can reduce eye irritation and eye strain which is good to relax nerves around eyes and take supplements for eyes.
