Yes, it is true that rubbing your eyes will cause the eyelashes fall out. If your rub your eyes with great strength, the eyelashes will fall out because of friction. You should not often rub your eyes which could also make your eyes get infection because of the coming invisible bacterium. If you feel not comfortable at the eyes, you could just use the warm compress to make your eyes feel comfortable.

Yes, really, rubbing your eyes can cause the eyelashes fall out. When you rub your eyes, your hand put its strength on your eyes, and it will drag your eyelashes till it is out from the eyelids. Normally, the eyelids have its growth periods as the leaf from the tree, it will fall down when it grows old. However, the outer strength exert will pull the immature eyelashes and hurt them, and it will fall out before the old periods. Moreover, this movement of rubbing is actually not so good to your eyes as it will bring some virus get into your eyes to make it infection of pink eyes. It will also hurt the subtle eyes muscle. So take care of your eyes and never rub your eyes with strength.

Eyelashes will fall out because of various factors. Aging, eye disorders, poor quality cosmetics and some other ways. However, people think that eyelashes will grow much thicker and longer during falling out. That is not right. So do not rub eyes to make them loss on purpose. The eyelashes fall out when you rub eyes. In order to get thick and long eyelashes, you can apply some bio oil on eyelids. Lemon juice and honey work for eyelashes growing, too.
