• How to protect my eyes when watching TV?

  The light contrast on TV screen should not be too strong or weak, otherwise your eyes can get tired easily. Also you should not turn off the room light when watching TV.

• Is it necessary to get an anti-reflection coating for glasses?

  Yes. It is necessary to get an anti-reflection coating because it will eliminate the reflections from your glasses in order to make your lenses invisible so people can focus on your eyes. It will also give you a better vision. The coating won't peel away so easily if you take good care of your glasses.

• Why is there black dots moving around my eyes after cataract surgery?

  The black dots may be floaters.You may have it before the surgery but you can't see them cuz the cataract block it.After the surgery you can see better,so the floaters become more noticeable.

• Can I still wear contacts if I have undergone a small surgery in the eyes?

  If your surgery has something to do with cornea, then you can't wear contacts. However, you should go to your doctor to have a check and see whether you can wear contacts or not.

• Would wearing glasses cause my eyes to go out of shape?

  Yes, long-time wearing will definitely cause your eyes go out of shape. I have been wearing glasses for more than 14 years, and now my eyes are quite ugly. I even want to throw my glasses away, but i can't because i will be almost blind without them.

• Can the anti-reflection coating cover the entire lens including the edges?

  The edges on the lens are often cut into the frames, so the anti-reflection coating won't cover the edges. However, you can try not to get your edges polished.

• What preparation should I get before lasik surgery?

  Before you have a lasik surgey, you are asked to have a careful eye exam. The surgeon will determine whether you are qualified to have lasik surgery. So you should talk with your doctor in details.

• What are the differences between amblyopia and myopia?

  Amblyopia often occurs in younger children, which is cause by the disorder or delay of the development of visual function. People with amblyopia cannot see objects clearly for both distance and close. Amblyopia cannot be corrected to the normal vision with corrective glasses. However, people with myopia cannot see far objects clearly only. It can be corrected with corrective glasses or contacts.
