• Can I use reading glasses to watch tv?

  NO,you can't use reading glasses to watch TV. Reading glasses are prescribed to correct near vision(the distance is about 10 inches). You need to get a separate pair of prescription glasses for distant view.

• Can prescription glasses be tinted to make sunglasses?

  It is possible to have prescription glasses tinted just like sunglasses. You can take your prescription glasses to your optical store where you bought them and ask them to tint your glasses. You just choose the color that you want and then they will tint your glasses according to your needs.

• Is it necessary for children to Get Their Eyes Examined?

  Yes, it is important for children to get their eyes examined at regular time. Most people develop myopia when they are young but they don't usually notice that until their vision get quite worse. Children with undetected vision problems often will have trouble with their schoolwork. So it is necessary for children to have eye exam to ensure normal vision development.

• Are contact lenses uncomfortable at first?

  Yes. When you wear contacts for the first time, you may find uncomfortable in your eyes. It is quite normal to have that feeling because you need time to get used to them.

• What would the doctor check in an eye exam?

  The procedure in an eye exam should include Glaucoma Test, Letters on the Wall, External Exam, Lens Checks, Eye Muscle Test. In addition to evaluating your eyes for glasses and contacts, your eye doctor will check your eyes for eye diseases and other problems that could lead to vision loss.
