  I believe the biggest benifits is to correct your vision and you will never wear glasses or contacts. I spent $2300 on my lasik surgery and I used to spend $400 on my contact lenses and $300 eyeglasses each year. I don't have to spend much money on the glasses, Furthermore, it is more convenient, I can sleep 10 mins more in the moring which is used to wearing contacts lenses,lol.

  The only real difference between Lasik and Lasek eye surgery is the way in which the eye is accessed during the procedure. During the Lasik procedure it is your inner cornea that is lasered and the surgeon needs to lift off the top layer of tissue in order to access the correct part of your cornea. A flap is created which essentially means a thin outer layer of your cornea is lifted away. Once the surgeon has applied the laser this flap is then replaced and left to heal.
