  Bacteria such as S. marcesens, S. liquefaciens, P. aeruginosa, Aeromonas hydrophilia, or Stenotrophomonas maltophlia will grow on contact lenses without proper care. These bacteria are thrived in moist areas and can cause serious corneal infections.

  Base curve in a contact lens means the curve of your eye. This number determines the size of your lens according to the shape and size of your eyes.Most base curves are shown as 8.0 to 9.5.

• Is it safe to use the yearly contact lenses?

  It is best to wear daily disposable contacts, it is better to wear monthly disposable contacts and it is OK to wear yearly disposable contacts. If you maintain and clean them in proper way and clean your hands before wearing them, it is OK, Otherwise, yearly disposable contacts are much easier to be infected by the bacteria thus to cause eye diseases and infections.
