• What the result can be if someone with good vision wear prescription glasses?

  I once wore my friend's prescription glasses (he is -5.00 in both eyes) and I feel a big dizziness and can't see things clear.I think if you wear the prescription glasses which you don't need for a long time,your vision would surely get worse and finally end up with wearing glasses.

• Does the optometrist keep my prescription?

  Make sure your prescription is still valid. Every optician will keep the customer's information on file. So you can retrieve your prescription from your optometrist as long as you go back there and show him the reciept in order to let him know that you've done an eye exam before there. Then he will write down the prescription to you.

• Could I get contact lenses prescription at eye exam?

  You can. They just need to measure the base curvature of your eye apart from the regular procedures for glasses.

• Would a small change in eye prescription cause discomfort?

  You'd better have an eye exam first.If the change is slightly,you are not supposed to feel much uncomfortable.It is possibly that you are having other eye problems.So visit your doctor first.

• Can I use prescription drops for pink eye if I don't have pink eye?

  If you can't determine whether you have got pink eye, you'd better not use prescription drops for pink eye to treat your problem. Otherwise you may make your problem even worse. You should go to see your doctor and let them diagnose it. He will give you the best treatment.

• Is it possible to add anti-scratch coating to my lenses?

  Yes. You can take your glasses back to the place where you bought your glasses and ask them to add anti-scratch coating to your lenses. They will send your glasses to their lab and the technician will do it for you. It may take you some time to get your glasses back.

• How can I know my eyes prescription without visiting my eye doctor?

  It sounds like you need an exam again to get your prescription.Other place like Lenscrafters,Walmart and some optical store can also give eye exam in low price.You can go and have a look.

• Can I get my eye prescription for free?

  If the prescription is not expired,you can ask for a copy of it.There is no reason to charge you again.
