  Surely you can.The prescription for bifocal or single vision glasses are same.But if you want to get contacts,you need a different one.

• Is it possible to wear reading glasses over contact lenses?

  I think you are meaning the "prescription stacking".It may be not practicable and inconvenient.What would you do if you need to see things far away?Take off your reading glasses? The contacts are not enough to correct your vision obviously.

• Why I get a headache when wearing bifocal glasses?

  Make sure the prescription is correct.Maybe you are not get used to them.Try to increase the time of wearing them gradually and you may get used to them soon.
