  • Protein, Vitamin A and Vitamin C are good for the eyes. Actually, you can absorb these nutrients from meat, milk, carrot, spinach and so on. Some food contain rich Vitamin A such as green pepper, fragrant-flowered garlic, orange and so on.

  • Eye infection is usually caused by virus or bacteria mainly. It is normal to cause eye infection when you have trauma, eye surgery, wearing contact lenses or diseases. In order to treat the eye infection for your kids, you have to separate them to avoid any chance to contagious the eye infection to each other to worsen the situation. After that, you should always wash their eyelids gently with baby shampoo. And avoid them to rub their eyes any more, otherwise it would spread infection. Additionally, you can try eye drops because they help soothe the itching and discomfort. But you should ask about whether the OTC eye drops are suitable for children.

  • To avoid eye strain, you should take appropriate rest and control the time you use your eyes, for example, when you play computer games or watch TV, you should relax your eyes for ten to twenty minutes after an hour. What's more, you need to replenish water to your eyes to ensure that your eyes are lastingly moist, so you can drip some eye drops. In addition, you need to supplement essential vitamin and materials for your eyes, so you should take more coarse food grain such as maize, sorghum, millet, coarse cereals, fresh vegetables, potatoes, beans and fruits which contain plenty of vitamin, protein and fiber. Also, you can apply warm compress on your eyes, which will help reduce eye strain.

  • After surgery, your eyesight may be blurry for a few days and some grittiness may be felt in the eye. It should not be rubbed and the eye drops will relive this sensation. After a few days your eyesight should be good, but it will continue to improve over the forthcoming weeks. Regular eye checks should be scheduled with your eye doctor or surgeon to monitor the progress. Your eyesight will reach its optimum in 3 to 6 months after LASIK surgery although it is usually sooner.

  • It depends on what kind of bright light you are talking about and how bright it is. Not every kind of bright light can cause cataracts. It is more common to increase the risk of getting cataracts if long time exposing to UV radiation. As to some bright light, for example, the fluorescents with diffusers used in our daily life won't cause permanent damages to our eyes because the light spreads at a wide range instead of pointing at one direction. But bright light is indeed harmful to our health. Long time exposure to bright light might cause mania, which is very risky. Mania refers to a condition, which is an abnormal mood that people would get exaggerated emotion over a small stimulation. They could be too happy, too hyper or too stressed with rapid speech and have difficulty in concentration. Besides, bright light might cause problems like eye burn, sleep disturbance, eye strain and headache. In some serious cases, people might even have suicide thoughts.

  • It can be caused by your unhealthy diet. If you eat food that is too salty for dinner, you have to drink much water before sleeping. After you fall asleep, your body would absorb the water but can't discharge it. Then you will have swollen eyes in the morning but it goes back to normal after 2 hours cuz you have to pee.

  • I strongly suggest you to have a look at What foods are good for your eye health. Maybe they are better than any kind of medicines. Hope this helped too!

  • Yesterday I just put a bar of cucumber in the refrigerator for few hours and then I take it out and chop it into slices. Then I use the soybean milk machine to make a cup of cucumber juice for myself. I drink half of the cucumber juice and use the left to make eye patch masks. I filter the remains of the cucumber and then dip a clean piece of cloth into the juice and then cover my closed eyes with it for 15 minutes. It can relieve the puffy eyes and moisten our skin.

  • The mirrored sunglasses are easy to be scratched. Thus, when you clean the mirrored sunglasses, you should avoid the things with sharp point. The easy way is to wash it with the clean water and use your finger to clean it. At last, you can use the clean cloth to dry it. This is the most easy and direct way.
