  If you have a prescription in your lens, you'd better not get the rimless glasses because your lenses may crack when you put them into a rimless frame and if you want to choose the nice rimless glasses, your lenses are too thick for them.

• What is the piece that sits on the nose called and where to buy?

  It is nose-pad. Go to your nearby optical store to have a look.

• Where to buy computer glasses?

  If you wear prescription glasses you need to have eye exam before buying. Buying on high street is more inexpensive than buying from optical stores.

• Advantages and disadvantages of rimless and semi-rimless glasses?

  Pros :they are much more lightweight and greatly ease the pressure on the bridge of nose and eyes.There are no frames that will distract your eyes to see objects and have a wider view. Cons: Less sturdy, easy to get broken when falling down.Their price is higher than other glasses frames .The lenses can gradually disintegrate on the side where the screws are situated and finally the lenses can drop.

• Are thick lenses available for semi rimless glasses or rimless glasses?

  Sure you can. But you need to pay much more money to it cuz you need to choose the high index lenses to make in semi rimless or rimless glasses.

• Is it OK to have semi-rimless glasses if my vision is -8.00 ?

  Lenses in 1.74 index of refraction will be ok for -8.00.Actually 1.61 or 1.67 is enough .But it can still be thicker at the edge and there is no way to hide them. Polished edges is a good way to hide them.

  Lenses of semi rimless glasses may look thinker than those of full framed glasses due to semi rimless design,and they do make people more stylish on them. They are much more popular among people who are sick of full framed glasses.You can try to wear it for some time,maybe you will love them later.
