• How does the anti-reflective coatings and polarized lenses work?

  Polarized lens won't reduce reflections from light but reduce the amount of light passing through the lens. However, anti-reflective coatings are made to cancel out the light from both front and back of your glasses lens.

• What kind of lens coatings should I get for a new pair of eyeglasses?

  That will depend on the purpose that you get your glasses. If you use your glasses to drive, an anti-glare coating is necessary because it can help you reduce the glare while driving. UV protection is needed when you go outside and need your glasses to block the harmful UV rays. An anti-scratch coating can porotect your glasses lens from being scratched so that your glasses can last longer. I think an anti-scratch coating is the essential for a new pair of eyeglasses.

• Can I get an eye infection by sharing eye drops?

  Only when your eye touch the eye drop thingy dropper, your eyes have the chance to get infected if you share other people's eye drops. If someone has done like that, you shouldn't use it any more and must thow it away immediately. If don't, then your eye won't get infected. However, you'd better not share eye drops with other people.

• Can glasses with anti-glare coating cause double vision?

  Your double vision may have nothing to do with the anti-glare coating. You should go back to your doctor to have an eye check to see whether you have got astigmatism. Astigmatism can cause double vision.

• What is the vision like to be considered legally blind?

  If the best eye with corrective glasses or contact lenses has a visual acuity of 20/200 or even worse, then it is considered as legally blindness.

• Could I play computer after lasik surgery?

  For now, you can use your eyes the same day when you have your LASIK. However, you must pay much attention to your eye health and control the time that you play computer for.

• Is it common for your eyes to feel pricking after using eye drops for allergies?

  Before you use eye drops for your allergies, you must check the expiration date. The eye drops which are out of date would make your eyes feel really pricking. And then you should throw them away. It is normal for your eyes to feel pricking when you put eye drops in the first few seconds, but it should go away very quickly. If it lasts for a long time, you should go to see an doctor.

• What eye drops can pregnant woman use for pinkeye?

  Wash them with saline first. If it is serious, using some chloramphenicol eye drops will work. As you just got pregnant, i suggest you wash your eyes with saline for it can reduce the bacteria in your conjunctiva, which is helpful for providing immunity.
