• Can the dim light cause pupil to constrict?

  No, the dim light and long time using computer can make your eyes strain or fatigue, but is irrelevant to pupil constrict. Work under light and decrease the time of using computer would be good for your vision.

• Does staying in a dark room too long be bad for my eyes?

  It will make your eyes feel fatigue and strain. But long time staying in such circumstance can be harmful to your vision. Why not light up your lamp while watch TV? I think it will help.
