  The transition lens contains a substance which is called silver halides. This kind of substance will change the color according to the strength of the light.

• Is it true that you should not wear contacts when getting a cold?

  Yes. When you get cold, your eyes will get infected and some germs are easy to develop in your eyes. If you wear contacts, the germs will spread to your contacts. Then your eyes may feel really uncomfortable or get irritated while wearing them.

• Is there a kind of glasses that can do the computer work and reading both?

  Computer bifocals can meet your both needs for computer use and reading. You can get them from your opticians.

• How to reduce the lighting glare from glasses?

  You can solve this by adding an anti-glare coating to your lenses.

• Can eating fish protect your eyes from getting worse?

  I think it is true,especially the fish eyes are good to your eyes.I can't find the scientific reason,but for my own experience,I eat fish a lot when I was young and I have perfect vision now.

• Can photochromic sunglasses be harmful to your eyes?

  The material in phtochromic lens is silver halides and it is harmless to your eyes. But it is not recommended to wear them too long. Your eyes may get tired as the pupil has to change as the lens color change.

• How long will it take for transition lens to change color?

  Transition lens won't change the color quickly when they are under the sun. It will take them several minutes to change the color.

• Is it useful to use transition lens when working on a computer?

  Transition lens only change the color when UV rays hit its surface. Computer is often used indoors. So when you work on a computer with transition glasses, your glassess won't change the color and won't protect your eyes. You'd better get a pair of computer glasses for comupter use.
