• How many hours of wearing are soft contact lenses good for?

  The material of the lens is different, so the amount of time you wear your contacts varies. Single-use disposable soft contacts are made of soft, flexible plastic which you can wear them all day and discard them before you go to bed.Daily wear soft contacts can be worn throughout the day and take them out when you go to bed, but you don't have to discard them and you can reuse them for several weeks.

• Shall I pay for the contact lenses fitting?

  I think most eye doctor will charge you for an additional fee because the doctor will check the health of the cornea again and take some measurements, which is important to your eye health. However, it is worth to pay extra money because the health of your eye is most important.

• How does an eye doctor check for double visions?

  An eye doctor will use some tests, like a cover test, visual acuity test, vergence test, and suppression test to check whether you have double visions. Actually it's not so exactly, they will combine with what you say to tell whether you have double vision .

• Is it good for adults to wear contact lenses?

  Almost everyone can wear contacts.But children and older people should consider some special conditions if they wear contacts.So for adults,it is good to wear contacts if you take good care of them. It is more convenient to wear contacts.

• Can your eye doctor refuses to write a contact lens prescription?

  I know that in the US the eye doctor offices have no right to refuse to write the contact lens prescription to the customer.If they do, you can take them into court.

• What's the best way to put in contact lenses easily?

  Place one lens on your right index finger with all edges up.Use left hand to lift your upper eyelid open and right middle finger to hold the lower eyelid. Gently place the lens on your left eyeball while looking into the mirror.Then move your eyeball with eyes open to place the lens in the right position.Finally close your eyes slowly.Do the other lens as the same way.

• What do the contact lenses usually cost?

  The contact lenses usually cost about $60.00.However, it really depends on the place you go.Different place have different price.You can shop around and chose the cheapest one to buy.

• Is an eye doctor able to detect diabetes?

  Some eye doctor will put drops into your eyes to make your pupil dilated, then they will use magnifying lens to look into your eyes to check whether your retina be damaged.Then they can detect whether you have got diabetes or not.
