What kind of contacts should I choose?
To keep your eyes healthy, I think the monthly contacts is a good choice for you though they are more expensive than the yearly. However, the advantage o fthe monthly contacts is that there will be few deposits, especially proteins, on the lenses because you replace the lens very often. While the yearly contacts may have many deposits on the lens due to overtime use. The deposits can make your vision blurry and sometimes they can lead to chronic inflammation. So you'd better choose the monthly contacts.
What is the age limit to wear contacts?
There is no age limit to wear contacts. But for some young children, they may have difficulty in putting them in and getting out.It is necessary to have an eye exam to determine if one is a good candidate to wear contacts. If the doctor approves, then your son can wear contacts.
How often should I get my eyes checked?
For children, it is good to have their eyes checked every year because the eye conditions of children are unstable and always changing. For adults who are under 60 and have perfect vision, it is still good to have their eyes checked at least every two years. If you are over 60, you'd better have an eye exam once a year.
Is keratoconus a refractive error?
Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the light-sensitive retina, causing distorted vision. There are several factors that cause Keratoconus: an imbalance of enzymes within the cornea, overexposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun, excessive eye rubbing, a history of poorly fitted contact lenses and chronic eye irritation.Keratoconus can result in nearsightedness and/or astigmatism, those are all refractice errors. Eyeglasses cannot help to patient with keratoconus, but contact lenses can. Learn more at http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/keratoconus.htm
What does "legally blind" mean?
Being legally blind means that your best seeing eye cannot be corrected with glasses or contact lenses any better than 20/200. The best way to understand this is to think about a normal person with 20/20 vision. This person has the ability to stand 200 feet away from an object and see the finest detail, whereas the legally blind person would have to move all of the way up to 20 feet to see the same detail. A legally blind person has difficulty seeing objects very far away or very close. Source: http://vision.about.com/od/faqs/f/What-Does-It-Mean-To-Be-Legally-Blind.htm

What are the benifits of anti-reflective coating on glasses?

Can my vision get worse if I wear my glasses all the time?
Wearing glasses all the time won't worsen your vision or make you depend on your glasses. We wear glasses just because it give us clear vision so that we can see better and feel better. So if you need, then you can wear your glasses all the time.
