- Do you have any of the following problems?
-
Can I know my visual acuity from my contact lens prescription?
You can have an estimate of your visual acuity from the contact lens prescription, but to know the accurate number, you need an eye test.
-
Will it harm my eyes to wear contacts upside down?
If the difference in your prescription is less than 0.5,it doesn't matter. Also it can't harm your eyes.Your eyes should be fine several day later. But you should be much careful later on.
-
Can I get contacts online without the doctor's prescription?
If you have paid for the complete exam, the doctor have no right to refuse to give you the prescription. You should go back to your doctor and ask for your prescription. If he refuses, just tell him that you know the law. Then he will give the prescription to you.
-
Is the cost for lens implants during cataract surgery included in the Medicare?
Yes. Medicare covers the surgery including the lens implant.Medicare will also cover the related expenditure for the replacement surgery and any required testing.
-
Can I wear glasses that are too weak for my eye sight?
I have heard that it is better to wear glasses a little lower than your prescription degree, but too weak for your eye sight obviously will not do good to your eyes.
-
Can I remove the anti-glare coating?
The anti-glare coating is difficult to remove. You can take your glasses back to your optician, and they will send your glasses to a lab. The lab will try to remove the anti-glare coating and then have it recoated.
-
Can I wear my glasses upside-down?
I think the 0.25 difference will not matter much. But if you feel any discomfort,go to visit your doctor.
-
Will my eyeglass prescription change after cataract surgery?
It will depend on you. If you want to change your prescription, then your eye surgeon will change the prescription as you desire. If you don't want to change your current prescription, then your prscription can still be unchanged.
