In the Gray, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. • It is really hard to choose as neither of them is a good choice for you. For me, I would choose contacts cuz the big goggles on my face would always stop me from moving freely and I can't see clearly through edge of the lens.

  • It is a stupid idea to repair it with super glue. You may ruin your glasses. Why not take them to the glasses store and ask the professional person to repair it? It won't cost much or they may even do it for free if it is an easy case.

  • Tricare will only cover routine eye exam in a year, the contact eye exam is not included. You can go to the TRICARE website to find more information about it.

  • It would depend on if they have the contacts of your prescription in stock. If your eyes fit some average,it is possible that you will get them the same day. If it is the first time your wear contacts, the optomitrist will give you a pair of "tester" contacts and decide which type suits you best.

  • It should depend on the doctor's office policy and normally you will be charged for the service you get. Before the exam, you should tell him that you don't need the lens fitting. If they insist on giving you the service you don't want then change for another doctor.

  • You can try Try Wal-Mart, Target, CVS or something like that.

  • Yes they can. Because diabetes can cause diabetic retinopathy and there will be some changes in your eyes if you have diabetes. If he told you have diabetes, you need to be checked again by a physician.

  • It is better to have a contact eye exam every year to make sure the contacts are still the right prescription and there is not other eye problem like corneal ulcer.
